
Dyersburg, TN — Demetrice Livingston, age 27, was found guilty of Second-Degree Murder after a jury trial and was sentenced to serve 20 years with the Tennessee Department Corrections. The trial was presided over by the Honorable Mark Hayes.
According to information presented in court, on June 10, 2019, Demetrice Livingston was the backseat passenger of a SUV when he fired his gun out of the window into a group of men standing on the roadside just a few feet away. Demarko Robertson was hit twice by the gunfire and died shortly after arriving at the hospital. The victim, Demarko Robertson, is survived by his wife and seven children.
District Attorney General Danny Goodman, Jr. said, “This is just another example of an innocent person being taken from his family by the senseless violence that occurs every day. We at the district attorney’s office will continue to work hard to ensure that violent criminals are taken off the streets to prevent future crimes.”
This case was investigated by the Dyersburg Police Department and was prosecuted by District Attorney General Danny Goodman, Jr.
