Former UT Martin RB Peyton Logan Signs With Calgary Stampeders

MARTIN, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin football standout Peyton Logan has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.

Logan, a 5-8, 190-pound running back from Horn Lake, Miss. spent five seasons at UT Martin where he was a two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference performer. Along with individual success, he played an integral role in the program’s 2021 Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division I Football Championship.

While at UT Martin, Logan ranked third in program history with 2,605 career rushing yards while sitting as the Skyhawks all-time leader in career yards per rush (6.3). He played in 51 career games, notching 416 carries for 2,605 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns while tallying 86 receptions for 724 yards and four scores. He notched seven 100-yard rushing performances (third-most in program history) while also leaving his mark in the return game with two kick return touchdowns in his career.

In 2021, he garnered All-OVC first team honors along with a pair of OVC Player of the Week selections after posting the fifth-highest single-season rushing performance in program history with 1,121 yards and four touchdowns. Along with becoming just the 10th player at UT Martin to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in a single season, Logan tallied three 100-yard performances including a career-high 179 yards at Northwestern State. He also surpassed 100-yards in the passing game against Samford, accumulating 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the victory.
