Paris, Tenn.–Thousands turned out at Paris Landing State Park for the Saturday performances of Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy, Rockin’ Randall French, the Paula Bridges Band and more, as seen in this drone photo from Sam Hutson and Crove Media.
The four-day Tennessee River Jam festival wound down today with performances by Darryl Worley and Friends at Blues Landing and Dallas Moore at The Breakers. In all, there were 9 venues and 30 artists over four days.
Paris-Henry County Chamber CEO Travis McLeese noted that this year’s Jam battled excessive heat and a wind storm Friday morning that un-did the work volunteers already had done to set up for the Saturday event. “We obviously had our ups and downs and I hope everyone enjoyed it. I can thank the volunteers who helped us.” He noted that in addition to volunteers helping to set up venues for the four-day festival, some 25-30 responded to the emergency call to help set the chairs and fencing back up Saturday morning.
“The wind was a blessing in that it cooled off the temperatures”, McLeese said, “but it also prevented us from raising the screens in the air and it did create a bit of a sound issue” at the Saturday performances at Paris Landing. Dozens also watched or listened to the concert from the waters of Kentucky Lake Saturday.
McLeese said, “Our staff is looking foward to going back to the table and start planning for next year.”
