Dover, Tenn.–The Grinch is wreaking havoc in Stewart County again this year and Sheriff Frankie Gray is asking everyone to keep their eyes open.
Since The Grinch arrived in Dover via canoe last week, he’s caused mischief at several businesses.
Gray said he went to Mary Jewells Beauty Salon as a client was getting her hair done and he took Mary’s Christmas decorations. He went to Tire Headquarters, stealing their tools, then went to Auto Zone and as they were working, The Grinch walked out the front door with stolen items.
The sheriff’s office received an anonymous call that The Grinch snuck into First Choice Collision and took their wreath off the wall and they never saw him coming. He did more mischief on Hwy 79. At Pawsibilities Center he came in and took their ornaments off their tree as they were grooming some dogs and left.
He did hit downtown at the Black Hat Boutique, taking decorations while the owner’s back was turned.
Gray said, “The last we heard he went to the Dumpster Convenience Center and the gentleman ran him off with a stick.
I promise he’s not done messing with Stewart County yet so keep your eyes open for him.”
