Sue Ann Jorrey, 81, of Cottage Grove, Tennessee, died Monday, December 26, 2022, at her residence.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Sue Ann loved crocheting, cooking, and working puzzles. She was a member of Bethany Church of Christ
Sue Ann was born Sunday, July 27, 1941, in Cottage Grove, Tennessee, to the late Harold “Buck” Bratton and the late Flossie Gay Pickard Bratton.
She was married Wednesday, August 10, 1955, to Lester “Les” Jorrey, who preceded her in death Friday, November 17, 2017.
She is survived by two grandchildren: Sarah Henderson and Lisa Mabe; six great grandchildren: Levi (Allison) Henderson, Erica Henderson, Trevor Chapman, Trent Chapman, Emily Chapman, and Eleah Coleman; and special friends: Buddy and June Kemp, of Cottage Grove, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son: Keith Alan “Tex” Jorrey; her daughter: Sheila Ann Jorrey; two brothers:Clarence Willard Bratton and Billy Gene Bratton; and one granddaughter: Shayna Sue Hagadorn.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Mike Wimberley officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Underwood, Johnny Smith, James Lacy, Jason Russell, Russ Norton, and Chuck Wilson. Named as honorary pallbearers are Levi Henderson and Buddy Kemp.
Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in Cottage Grove, Tennessee.
