Robbye Williams Lax, 84, of Paris, Tennessee, died Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Robbye was born June 5, 1938, in Springville, Tennessee, to the late Ham Patterson Williams and the late Mable Verena Evans Williams.
She formerly owned and operated H.D. Lax Insurance Agency in Paris for many years with her late husband: H.D. and her son: Nicky. Robbye was Baptist by faith. She enjoyed sewing clothing for less fortunate children, doing things for others, and she loved her pets.
She married H.D. “Dape” Lax Monday, September 16, 1957, and he preceded her in death Sunday, January 15, 1989.
Robbye is survived by her son: Nicky Lax, of Paris, Tennessee; special cousin: Kim Dyer (Tom) Wilson; special friend: Mark Chandler; beloved brother-in-law: Dub Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee. She is to be cremated with a private graveside memorial service to be held at a later date at Buck Williams Cemetery in Springville, Tennessee.
