County Clerks in Henry and Obion Counties are reminding everyone to check their license plates. The “Green Mountain” plates that have been in use in Tennessee for years are no longer valid after December 31, according to Henry County Clerk Donna Craig.
Obion County Clerk Crystal Crain explained further, “All plates expiring in December will officially expire tonight Tuesday January 3, 2023. However, all Standard Green Mountain plates and IGWT Green Mountain plates will also be officially superseded as of that date. If you have one of these plates displayed on your vehicle, please contact your local County Clerk’s office, as these plates will be readily recognized as “expired” or “incorrectly registered” by law enforcement.”
