Paris, Tenn.–The Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce is still accepting applications for the position of Executive Director, which has been vacant since the resignation of Travis McLeese in late October.
Chamber President Justin Oliver told RadioNWTN this morning that the application process is still ongoing. He said several applications have already been received and are being reviewed “and we want to move forward on this as soon as we can. We want to explore all our options to draw the right person for the job.”
According to the job description posted on the Chamber’s Facebook page, “The Executive Director is responsible and accountable to the Board of Directors to provide executive leadership to the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce for its growth and continued success. Responsibilities include overseeing the coordination of the existing operations of the Chamber, including day-to-day operations and all financial reporting, while communicating effectively with members on needs, ideas, and opportunities pertaining to the community. The Executive Director will build positive relationships with local businesses and organizations according to chamber policy established by the Board and sustain an environment that supports the economic success of businesses in the county. This position will
require the applicant to live in Henry County or move to Henry County within a six month period after hire.”

McLeese had been Chamber Executive Director since 2017 and resigned to accept a position at Total Tech Solutions in Murray.
In late November, the Chamber’s Community Relations Director Kasey Muench announced her pending resignation to accept a position as Executive Director of the Northwest Tennessee Tourism Board. Muench began her new position this week.
Oliver said the Chamber right now is only accepting applications for the Executive Director position.
