Congratulations to Derek Giffin and Micayla Giffin, fifth generation farmers from Obion County, on being named national runners-up in the American Farm Bureau Federation’s America’s Young Farmers & Ranchers Award contest. The convention is being held now in Puerto Rico.
In 2022, the Giffin couple was named Tennessee Young Farmers of the Year and were handed the keys to their new Case IH Tractor at a presentation at the Obion County Fair.
Congressman David Kustoff congratulated the couple and said, “Farmers are the backbone of West Tennessee, and we are fortunate to have strong leaders in agriculture like the Giffins. Thank you for your hard work producing food, fuel, and fiber for the world!”
