Henry, Tenn.–The Henry Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched out to a report of a field on fire Wednesday afternoon near a home in the 3400 block of Henry-Midway Rd. Quick and strategic work kept the fire from reaching nearby structures. Two engines from Henry FVD responded to the scene with 11 firefighters to find approximately three acres on fire approaching two structures. Engine 2 set up between the fire and one structure while Engine 3 did the same with the other structure. The Forestry Service and Como Fire Departments then helped with extinguishing the fire. The homeowner was checked out by Henry County EMS and released at the scene. No property damage was reported. Also on scene was the Henry Police Department. Henry FVD photo.
