Union City, Tenn.–In the music industry, ‘Country is Cool.’
It certainly was a popular theme in the annual Union City Elementary School 2nd grade spring musical, presented just before classes were dismissed for spring break.
UCES music teacher Katie Tohn led the group in a program entitled ‘Country: From Classic to Current.’
Students delighted their classmates, the remainder of the student body, family members, and friends in three performances that included hit songs from all eras. The group did so while mimicking several popular acts from those time periods, including Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Darius Rucker, and other more-contemporary performers.
