
Dresden, Tenn.–A several months-long narcotics investigation by the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office, 27th Judicial Drug Task Force, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, and Jackson Police Department Major Crimes Vice Unit led to the seizure of approximately 34 pounds of methamphetamine in Jackson. The meth was on route to Weakley and Obion Counties when it was intercepted.
The investigation started in Weakley County and led to other counties in Tennessee. With this seizure, several indictments will be sought. The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office is committed to combating the drug problem in our county. Weakley County deputies said they appreciate the partnership they have with our community and these other agencies that help make seizures like this possible.
This methamphetamine has a street value of approximately $170,000.
