Union City, Tenn.–Those “in the know” put on a show.
Senior English students at Union City High School recently presented their annual ‘Expert Museum’ to an entertained and enlightened student body, faculty, and staff prior to the beginning of Spring Break.
Seventy-four English IV and AP English students extensively researched various topics that were chosen at the beginning of the school year. Their knowledge-gaining efforts earned them the title of ‘expert’ in their particular field.
Numerous subjects were displayed as the ‘authorities’ interacted with inquisitive and interested parties, answering detailed questions about their finished product.
In addition to their museum presentation, students were required to showcase their project to their respective classes and complete a written assignment on their chosen topic.
“The seniors were excited to share what they had learned with the other students,” said Joanna Wisener, who coordinated the project with fellow teachers Michele Huffstutter and Jodi Powell. “I am always impressed with the detailed knowledge they convey in their presentations and at the museum.
“I’m very proud of their poise and the preparation that was evident in their presentations.”
It marked the eighth year for some variance of the project for Wisener.
