Union City, Tenn.–A Paducah woman is in the Obion County Jail after five pounds of crystal meth was found in the trunk of her car.
On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at approximately 5:25 p.m., an Interdiction Officer with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle traveling on Hwy 51 South headed northbound near Union City, for a window tint violation.
Due to criminal indictors during the course of the stop, the K9 was deployed at which time he alerted to the trunk of the vehicle. In the trunk of the vehicle, the officer located 5 pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine inside a shoe box.
Darcey Ann Thompson, age 34, of Paducah, was arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule II with Intent to Sell and transported to the Obion County Jail where she will remain until her arraignment in Obion County General Sessions Court on Friday, April 14, 2023.
