
Paris, Tenn.–It was a great opening day for the 70th World’s Biggest Fish Fry, with sunshine and crowds on hand for the annual Car Show, Hush Puppy Dash 5K and the Demolition Derby.
The Car Show was held at the Krider Performing Arts Center parking lot with 35 cars, 19 trucks and 16 motorcycles entered. Food trucks and a bouncy house were on site, adding to the atmosphere. Organizers for the Car Show were Tyler Cox, Jeff Baham and Charita Cox.

Organizer of the Hush Puppy Dash was Jamie Fairbanks and organizer for the Demo Derby were Chris Martin and John Paul Casey.
The Fish Fry continues Monday with the kick off street dance, set for 7 p.m. in downtown Paris with the Ray Lews Band.
The Carnival begins Tuesday at 5 p.m. and runs through April 30, at the fairgrounds. Also on Tuesday, the Country Dance with The James Greer Band will play at the fairgrounds at 7-10 p.m. Admission $5.
The Fish Tent opens Wednesday and run through April 29.
