Weekend Auditions for KPAC Young Artists Summer Theatre – PLUS – Theatrical Dance registration is Open
Paris, Tenn.–Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS, based on the classic novel by Rudyard Kipling and the classic Disney film, is for children ages 5-9. Audition on May 12 at 4 PM or May 13 at 9 AM. Pick the best date for you. Don’t let the word “audition” be a worry for young ones. It is easy and fun! Rehearsals are 9 to 11 AM beginning June 5. The show dates are June 30 and July 1. The participation fee is $45.
The Wizard of Oz Youth Edition, based on the Frank L. Baum novel and the 1939 motion picture, is for ages 10-15 or rising 10th grade. Audition on May 14 at 2 PM or May 15 at 4 PM. Pick the best date for you. Can’t make those dates?? Call 731-644-2517 to request an alternate time. Rehearsals begin on June 5 from 1:00 to 3:30 PM with show dates on July 14 and 15. The participation fee is $50.
Audition packets for both shows are available at Paris Civic Center now for young folks who would like to do a little preparation. You can, however, just show up to audition. We will also happily hear a prepared song or monologue for the Wizard of Oz auditions, but that is not required.
Registration for Theatrical Dance is open now! This is a great class for young folks who love dancing and theatre! Instructor Kaley Fletcher will keep you moving and learning while having a good time. Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays in June, beginning June 8. Our last class is June 29, and our presentation is that evening at 7 PM. The participation fee is $35.
