Shirley Grizzard went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Shirley was born to William and Madie (Harrison) Howard Friday, June 20, 1952, in Stewart County, Tennessee. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and sister: Dorothy (Larry) Wallace.
She graduated from Stewart County High School in 1970 and retired from the Stewart County School System as a paraprofessional.
One of her favorite hobbies was going fishing and spoiling her children and grandchildren. Shirley always found great joy in helping others and touched so many lives throughout her lifetime.
She was a loving and caring mother, grandma, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone in her life.
She is survived by her husband: Carl Grizzard; daughter: Shirelle Fine (Billy Elkins); sons: Jeremy (Sheila) Burkhart, Billy (Kandace) Burkhart, and Calvin Grizzard; grandchildren: Jessica (Taylor) Jackson, Haley (Jimmy) Camper, Shawn Burkhart, Logan Burkhart, Ryker Fine, Owen Burkhart, and Mia Burkhart; sisters: Joyce (Don) Dawson, Betsy (Charles) Kirkland, Jeanette (Horace) Bryant, Loretta Wallace, Wanda (Don) Smith, Lesa (Mark) Fitzhugh.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the hour of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Steve Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor’s Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
