Union City, Tenn.–The Union City High School baseball and softball teams combined to hold a season-ending banquet this week, honoring several standouts on the field and in the classroom.
Head coaches Cole McAdams (baseball) and Stevie Gossett (softball) recognized each player from their respective teams individually, then handed out awards for individual accolades.
Several student-athletes were then recipients of the Golden Tornado Academic Award.
A grade point average of at least 3.0 over the first three semesters of the 2022-23 school year was necessary to receive the classroom acknowledgment.
