William Randall Wagner

William Randall Wagner, 68, of Puryear, Tennessee, died Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Randall was born Tuesday, October 5, 1954, in Joliet, Illinois, to the late Raymond Wagner and the late Norma Jean Holden Wagner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother: Ricky Wagner.

He retired from Kroger in Murray, Kentucky, as a meat cutter and a union steward.

He enjoyed small building projects and spending time with family.

Randall loved camping, NASCAR, and visiting historical sites, especially places with WWII history.

His favorite thing was being a “Paw Paw.”

He was married Friday, February 3, 1989, to Sherry Lynn Doyle Wagner, of Puryear, Tennessee, who survives.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by four children: Chad Wagner, of Whitlock, Tennessee, Chris (Malory) Wagner, of East Prairie, Missouri, Samantha (Joe Elkins) Wagner, of Puryear, Tennessee, and Melissa Wagner, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister: Bertha (Ron) Cummings, of Paris; one brother: Sonny (Brenda) Wagner, of Henry, Tennessee; and six grandchildren: Josie Wagner, Sawyer Elkins, Jase Elkins, Reece Wagner, Isla Wagner, and Brock Wagner.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Monday, May 22, 2023, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at a later date.
