Metro Nashville has released a photo of the man who is a suspect in the shooting around 3:30 p.m. of a Metro Nashville Police Department officer. The officer is in critical condition.
The suspect is at large in the area of Clairidge Drive/Shacklett Drive off Donelson Pike. He may be wearing a dark gray T-shirt. See him? Please call 911 immediately. .
The suspect reportedly was attempting to break into cars at the Parking Spot, near the Nashville International Airport. At one point, a witness said the man pulled a gun on an employee.
Police arrived and an exchange of gunfire with officers ensued.
