Ms. Karen Harrison, 72, of Dover, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Friday, June 9, 2023, at Dover Care Center.
She was born Thursday, November 9, 1950, in Stewart County, Tennessee, the beloved daughter of the late James Henry and Iva Gladys Sexton Daniel. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband: Danny Gray Harrison; son: Danny G. Harrison, II; and brother: J.V. Sexton.
Karen loved the Lord and was an active member of Corinth Baptist Church, Dover, Tennessee.
Karen enjoyed working for many years as the secretary at the Paris Landing Inn.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her daughter: Tracy Schmittu (Todd), of Palmyra, Tennessee; sisters: Naomi Marshall and Nelda Parker, both of Dover, Tennessee; grandchildren: Chelsea Hernandez and Kacey Buchanan; great-grandchildren: James Hernandez, Trea Hernandez and Hayes Buchanan. She also leaves behind her faithful dog: Toby.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Corinth Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until the hour of the funeral service with Bro. Carl Newberry officiating. Burial will follow at Daniel Cemetery, Dover, Tennessee, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
