
Huntingdon, Tenn.–A Carroll County jailer has been arrested, charged with introducing contraband into the jail.
Brandon DeShields, age 35 of Paris, was arrested at the Carroll County Jail as he attempted to bring marijuana and drug paraphernalia into the jail. Sheriff Andy Dickson told the McKenzie Banner that DeShields stated work for the sheriff’s office April 1 of this year.
Officers had prior knowledge that DeShields planned to bring in contraband and confronted him as he arrived for work. He was charged with possession of drugs and possession of dug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $30,000. He was being held at a separate jail.
