Catastrophic Flooding In Graves County; Sheriff Says Stay Off Roads

graves-co-flood-sheriff-2

Mayfield, Ky.–A flash flood emergency with a catastrophic threat tag has been issued in Graves County and Sheriff Jon Hayden said there is “major flooding like many have never seen” occurring in the county.
KY 80West is impassable at Cash Road and Hayden said, “This is one of many examples across the county.”
“We would ask those that do not have to be out, please stay home. Many roads have been washed out, many cars have driven into water and drowned out,” he said.
The pastor of His House Ministires this morning advised they have opened their church for anyone that needs a place to shelter due to the flooding.
Hayden reminded everyone: “Stay off the roads as many are flooded and are impassable.”
