Paris, Tenn.–A Heat Advisory has been issued for Henry County with temperature index to be around 105 degrees. Tomorrow another advisory may be issued as well.
To assist the community, Paris Police Dept will be opening Inman School Tornado Shelter, 400 Harrison St, Paris, as a cooling shelter today and Saturday beginning at 12 noon through 8 PM each night. The shelter is the building on the left side of school.
Persons should plan to leave by 8 PM. Paris Police will be monitoring the building throughout the day.
Temperatures will cool a little on Sunday below Heat Advisory criteria so the shelter will not open Sunday.
The City of Henry is opening the Community Center, 55 Park Dr, Henry, TN as a Cooling Shelter. The center will be open 7am – 10PM for next couple of days.
