Obion County, Tenn.–Troopers from the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Jackson District assisted the Obion County Sheriff’s Office and Union City Police Department with evacuations from areas affected by the historic flooding that hit the area. Obion County received from 8-14 of rain over a 24 hour period, with more heavy rain today. “I am extremely proud of the great work being performed daily by the troopers of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. This is a tremendous example of how our troopers serve in very dangerous situations to make our communities safer. Great job,” according to THP Colonel Matt Perry. (THP photo).
