Paris, Tenn.–A highlight of the first Family Resource Center advisory board meeting of the year was receiving a special donation from a young Cottage Grove girl. Claire Nash, daughter of T. J. and Lauren Nash, raised $500 with her lemonade stand this summer and chose to give profits to one of her favorite charities, which is the Family Resources Backpack Program. Claire has been running her lemonade stand for several years and likes the idea of serving others, especially other children. The family also donated books for the Literacy Van and Zinnias that the Center used for beautiful centerpieces for the meeting. Family Resource Center staff said, “We want to send a big thank you to Claire and her family as they continue to partner with and support the good work that the FRC does for our community!
