Paris, Tenn.–Brian Easley came all the way from Clarksville to compete in this year’s BBQ Cookoff at the Henry County Fair. Easley was one of 18 competitors who are grilling and smokin’ BBQ pork, ribs, chicken, weiners and rib-eye steak for the judges as the fair opens this weekend. The fairgrounds sure smelled good with the BBQ aroma Friday night which also saw a large crowd for the Kick-Off Dance with the James Greer Band. Saturday’s activities at the fair include the Dairy Show at 10 a.m., with the cookers turning in their pork, chicken, ribs and steaks throughout the morning. Tonight, the first-ever ATV/UTV Rodeo will be held in the Arena with $10 admission and kids five and under free. On Sunday, the 4-H Youth will bein their Grilling Cook-Off at 2 p.m., with Youth and Adult entries accepted from 3-5 p.m. at the Community Building. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
