carroll-county-cth

Huntingdon, Tenn.–The historic 90-year-old Carroll County Courthouse suffered $400,000 worth of damage during last month’s severe storms.

Water damage was reported to one of the courtrooms and two offices in the structure, with early estimates at $400,000, but other upgrades may prove necessary as inspections proceed.

County Mayor Joseph Butler said roofing contractors were in the process of replacing the roof when the storms occurred.

Preliminary inspections indicate damage to carpets, ceiling tiles, wall plaster, light fixtures, wiring, exterior windows and more.
