Bennie Camper, 79, of Puryear, Tennessee, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at Town Square Care of Puryear (The Farms).
Bennie B. Camper was born Friday, March 3, 1944, in Ridgely, Tennessee to the late Ernest Camper and the late Ruby Johnson Camper. Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by sisters, Jean Hollis, Jo Olsen, Dorothy Williams, and Wilma Lepiscopo; and by brothers, Jerry “Mackie” Camper and Fred Thomas Camper.
Mr. Camper was a Baptist by faith.
He loved working on cars, trucks, and small engines.
Bennie also enjoyed mowing the yard and he was widely known and loved for miles around.
He is survived by his sister: Judy Lessard, of Puryear along with numerous other family members.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stephens to officiate. Family members will serve as pallbearers and burial will follow the service in Puryear City Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Camper is scheduled at McEvoy on Wednesday after 12:00 P.M. until time of service.
