Union City, Tenn.–A large group of area first responders took part in the 5th annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Discovery Park of America Saturday. The event was conducted in conjunction with the Union City Fire Department, which thanked all the first regional first responders for participating in the event to honor and remember the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Each participant paid tribute to a FDNY firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Banners were carried proclaiming “110 Floors: With Every Step We Remember”. Photos from the event are posted on Discovery Park’s Facebook page.
