Buchanan, Tenn.–Thousands were on hand for the annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts & Crafts Festival, enjoying the perfect weather and beautiful view on Kentucky Lake and the dozens of vendors displaying their art and handiwork at the Paris Landing State Park. By 3 p.m. Saturday, Park personnel said over 5,000 visitors had already come to the festival and there still were two hours left for it to be open Saturday and a full day on Sunday. The festival was so crowded that several vendors ran out of merchandise and some food trucks ran out of supplies. The weekend was a busy one, with the Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee drawing hundreds of bikers to Paris and the lake area. One bicyclist was injured when he was struck by a vehicle on Hwy. 79N. He was transported to Henry County Medical Center and suffered road rash on his leg. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
