Mrs. Iona C. Dunlap, 87, died Friday, September 29, 2023, at her residence.
She was born in Newbern Sunday, April 5, 1936, to Edward and Jewell Kee Clanton. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband William Porter Dunlap.
She is a member of McKenzie Church of Christ and was a Sunday school for 50 years, a retired retail sales associate and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter: Stacie (Greg) Browning. of McKenzie; a son: Shannon (Janine) Dunlap, of Jackson; two sisters: Carolyn (Doug) Maddox and Bonnie (Danny) Martin, all of McKenzie; four grandchildren: Jeremy (Sara) Dunlap, Adam (Lindsey) Dunlap, Tori (Joshua) Mayo and Kori Browning; two great-granddaughters: Chloe Mayo and Zoey Porter Mayo and; great-grandbaby Dunlap.
Funeral services for Iona C. Dunlap are Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at McKenzie Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 2, 2023, at the church 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery McKenzie.
