Obion County, Tenn.–It was a BEAUTIFUL Friday night at Evening in the Vines.
And it was a great night for the Obion County and Union City Schools Backpack programs. The event was held at White Squirrel Winery and Vineyard and is part of the Obion County Fall Fest. It was a fundraiser for the backpack programs and raised $5,500.
Johnny Mac and his Heart Attacks from Paris performed.
Officials said, “We couldn’t have asked for better weather, wine, food, or music! Everyone danced, drank, AND DONATED! We had so many AMAZING folks show up and show out with their generosity this year. Because of each and every one of you, Obion County Fall Fest was able to raise $5,500 for our Union City and Obion County Backpack Programs!!!! We appreciate you all more than you will ever know!”
The mission at Obion County Fall Fest is not only to celebrate harvest season by holding fun events for everyone in the community, “but to also support and bring awareness to organizations in our community combatting hunger. Our Backpack Programs in both school systems provide non-perishable and easy to open/prepare food in backpacks over the weekend and over school breaks for children that are struggling with food security. We are beyond blessed to be able to further the mission of these amazing programs!”
