
Paris, Tenn.–Public Utility Authority President & CEO Terry Wimberley provided details regarding Paris Special School District’s recent acquisition of four electric buses and the associated charging station at Tuesday’s meeting of the PUA board.
The electric buses were procured through grant funding, and Paris Board of Public Utilities played an advisory role in assisting Paris Schools throughout the process.
Wimberley’s employee guest was Michael McSwain. Michael McSwain’s career at Paris BPU began in May 2002 when he joined as a temporary employee in the Electric Department. Over the years, he progressed in his career and in March 2004, he moved up to the position of an apprentice lineman, demonstrating his commitment and dedication to the field.
By March 2008, his experience and skills had grown significantly, earning him the title of Journeyman lineman. Michael’s dedication to his work and leadership qualities did not go unnoticed, and in April 2017, he was promoted to the role of Working Foreman, further showcasing his continued growth within the company.
The November meeting of the Board is scheduled for Thursday, November 30, 2023.
