Union City Schools was the recent recipient of an Automated External Defibrillator donated by Baptist Ambulance.
The device will join several others like it on Union City’s three campuses and could help save a life if a sudden cardiac event were to occur either at school or an after-school event.
John Brophy, President of Operations with Baptist Ambulance, and Skipper Bondurant, the top administrator at Baptist Memorial Hospital of Union City, spearheaded the efforts to present the AED to UCHS Principal Jacob Cross.
The presentation occurred prior to the football game between the Tornadoes and Halls.
