The Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge hosted a one day class on Wetland Ecology and Waterfowl Biology using the 5,000 acre Duck River Bottoms area of the refuge as a classroom. With the help of Dr. Eric Pelren of UT Martin and US Fish& Wildlife Service Waterfowl Biologist Clayton Ferrell, the class spent the day getting a better understanding of wetland management for waterfowl and other wetland dependent birds.
