Coach Britt Achieves 400th Win At Bethel

MARIETTA, Ga. – The Bethel University Wildcats opened their season Friday in Marietta, Georgia playing in the Ken Woods Memorial. Life University is the host school. 

The Cats beat New College of Florida 84-73. It was Coach Jeff Britt’s 400th win at Bethel. He has 508 career wins. 

The Wildcats led 44-26 at the half.  

Querrion Gadson led the Wildcats with 13 points. Newcomers Dwight Reed finished with 12 points. Fellow newcomer Kendan Maddox had 10 points. 

Bethel had a 45-32 margin in rebounds.

A huge factor in the game was Bethel’s advantage in bench points with a 43-13 margin. Bethel hit only one three-pointer and was just 13-of-32 from the foul line but managed to find a way to win. 

Bethel will face Columbia International Saturday morning at 11 a.m. CT.
