Charles “Arvin” Carter, 79, of Paris, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Hickory Woods Senior Living Community in Murray, Kentucky.

Charles Arvin Carter was born Friday, February 4, 1944, in McKenzie, Tennessee, to the late Charles Spencer Carter and the late Sibyl Currin Carter. Besides his parents, Arvin was also preceded in death by his former wife: Vernetta Paschall Carter.

Arvin retired from Holley Carburetor after 25 years of service.

He is survived by his daughter: Kim Carter (Tim) McKinney, of Murray, Kentucky; and grandchildren: Laken (Tyler) Mitchell Greer, of Paducah, Kentucky, and Logan Charles Mitchell, of Nashville, Tennessee.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow in Manley’s Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, all at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Pallbearers for Mr. Carter will be: Don Norwood, Grant Norwood, Billy Bowden, Wayne Hicks, Robert “Rookie” Edwards, and Kyle Norwood. Honorary Pallbearers will be Traci Templeton, Stanley Currin, and Reed Rose.
