Paul Williams

Mr. Paul Williams, 83 of Dover, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his residence Monday, November 13, 2023, with his family by his side.

He was born in Stewart County Tuesday, June 11, 1940, the beloved son of the late Roscoe and Opal Bryant Williams.

He was a hard worker who built his own cabinet shop from the ground up.

He took pride in his workmanship and enjoyed serving his customers of Stewart County and the surrounding counties.

Mr. Paul was a faithful servant, attended Big Rock Baptist Church for many years.

He was a member of Clark Avenue Church of Christ in Granite City, Illinois.

He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his devoted wife: Linda Dodd Williams; and sister: Alice Earhart.

He leaves behind his family that will cherish their memories, sons: Gary Williams (Beverly), and Darrin Williams (Wendy) both, of Dover, Tennessee; daughter: Tammy Hughes (Kenny), of Big Rock, Tennessee; grandchildren: Kendra Joiner, Meagan Gregory, Kayla McClure, Kacie Newman, Zeb Williams, and Jacob Williams; great-grandchildren: Niley Joiner, Norie Joiner, Felix McClure, Elowen McClure, Myla Gregory, Aubrey Newman, and Colbie Newman; sister: Jannie Cathey and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Whitehead officiating.

Burial will follow at Heflin Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers are: Caleb Joiner, Zach Gregory, Brandon McClure, Jake Williams, Glen Earhart, Donald Griffin, Adam Cathey, and Brian Cathey. Honorary pallbearers will be: the deacons of Big Rock Baptist Church.
