Mrs. Amy Brooks Carter, 49, died Friday, November 10, 2023 at Baptist Health, Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born in Huntingdon Wednesday, January 30, 1974, to Ernest and Lou Jean King Brooks.
She was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Greenfield, a graduate of McKenzie High School and Bethel University, a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at Bethel and a LPN for Carey Counseling.
She is survived by her husband: Melvin Carter, Jr., of McKenzie; her parents: Ernest and Lou Jean Brooks, of McKenzie; three sons: Michael Carter, of McKenzie, Andre Carter, of Monterey, California, and Matthew Carter, of McKenzie; a sister: Regina Thompson, of McKenzie; a brother: Ernest (Kay) Brooks, Jr., of Greenfield, and one granddaughter: A’Launa Carter.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Brooks Carter are Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Friday, 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
