
Damage and injuries from this afternoon’s storms has been reported in our area, especially in the Dresden and Weakley County area. Sunday, December 10, will mark two years ago that an E-3 tornado struck Dresden, destroying government and business buildings.
The Dresden Fire Department asks the public to avoid the areas of Evergreen St Extended, Summers Road, and Davis Memorial Road. Personnel from multiple agencies are working to get to residents that were hit by the storm. Multiple trees, power lines and houses hit.
The Weakley County EMA is reporting there are two homes that have major damage on Summers Road in Dresden. Champion Homes and the Nation Guard Armory have significant damage and as of this afternoon, there are two confirmed injuries that were transported by EMS to the hospital.
First responders are reporting having trouble getting to possible injured people due to trees blocking the roads. Several homes and other structures have been reported damaged and/or destroyed.
Extensive damage, including structures destroyed, power lines down and injuries, are reported in Clarksville.
