Phyllis Marie Koebel, 68, of Springville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, December 20, 2023, at her residence.

Phyllis was born Saturday, March 19, 1955, in Lansing, Michigan, to the late L.T. Baker and the late Alice Marie Johnson Baker.

She retired from Henry County Propane in Paris where she was the office manager.

She enjoyed playing cards and board games and was very competitive.

Phyllis loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was Baptist by belief.

She was married to George Edward “Eddie” Koebel, who preceded her in death Thursday, February 12, 1998.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters: Alice Faye Baker Valentine, and Gloria Kirkland; and special friend: Jimmy Quillin.

She is survived by her daughter: Tina Archie, of Springville, Tennessee; two stepsons: Eddie (Sharon) Koebel, of Bruceton, Tennessee, and B.J. Koebel, of Bruceton, Tennessee; one sister: Doris Reid, of McKenzie, Tennessee; one brother: Harry Baker, Sr., of Springville, Tennessee; two grandchildren: William (Ashley) Archie, of Springville, Tennessee, and Cody (Kayla) Archie, of Paris, Tennessee; five great-grandchildren: Keagen Archie, Addelynn Archie, Maci Mae Archie, Madilyn Taylor, and Nora Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be: William Archie, Cody Archie, Tim Swor, Jeff Baker, Terry Smith, and James Ward.  Named as an honorary pallbearer is: Keagen Archie.

Burial will be in Bevil Cemetery in Paris, Tennessee.
