
Paris, Tenn.–Due to the impending inclement weather and the safety of others, listed below are the City of Paris closings and updates for Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Paris Police Department will be monitoring the Warming Shelter at Inman Middle School that is currently open.
Paris City Hall, Paris Police Records, Paris Civic Center, Animal Shelter, and Paris-Henry County Landfill will be CLOSED on Thursday, January 18th.
Paris Public Works will begin work at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning (January 18) and work until conditions become hazardous for them. This means sanitation will begin and continue pickup as long as it’s safe for them to do so. The Street Dept will prep roads today and continue to treat them tomorrow, again, as long as it’s safe for them. For those who may not be aware, the brine/salt we use now is specially treated to activate in colder temperatures than traditional salt. Sanitation pickup routes are as follows:
– Wednesday and Thursday Sanitation routes will be picked up on Thursday, January 18th.
– There will be no bulk pickup for the week.
Sanitation routes will resume normal schedule next week (1/22 – 1/25). If your trash is not picked up tomorrow, then it will be picked up on your normal scheduled day next week.
