Dover, Tenn.–A very cold start to the day – Fort Donelson park roads are open for visitor access and enjoyment.
The Dover Hotel / “Surrender House” and the National Cemetery Carriage House are open. The Visitor Center will open at 10 AM.
For those visiting, please remember – it is winter in Tennessee, so whether driving park or area roads, please use extra caution, travel slower, and watch out for others.
If exploring on foot – today started off at about 3 degrees, with subzero wind chills. Please dress appropriately, have proper footwear, and carry snacks and water to keep your energy up and hydrated.
