The Cottage Grove Legislative Council has begun planning for a community meet and greet event set for May 4. Called a May Day event, it will begin at 11 a.m. at Cardinal Park in Cottage Grove. There will be burgers, hotdogs, chips and water served, games and a cake contest. Council Member Dorothy Miller is the chairman for the event. The recycling program is funding this event.
