McKenzie, Tenn.–Bethel University is proud to announce that two students and one faculty member will be representing the university in the upcoming National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSSC) in Atlanta. The in-person championships will take place on February 25-27, 2024, at the State Farm Arena, hosted by the Atlanta Hawks.
The NCSSC is a prestigious event that brings together students, faculty, professionals, recruiters, and sponsors from across the country. It provides a platform for participants to showcase their sales skills and network with industry experts in the fields of sports and entertainment. Last year, over 90 professional sport and entertainment organizations and 70 Universities were involved.
Mike Rowser, a senior sports management major and football player from Milwaukee, Wisconsin has already made a name for himself by placing in the Top-50 in the preliminaries. His exceptional sales abilities and dedication have secured his spot in the championship division.
Joining Rowser is Makenya Gaskin, another talented sports management senior, who will be competing in the corporate sales competition. Gaskin is from Atwood, Tennessee and runs track for BU. Makenya’s strong communication skills and business acumen make her a formidable competitor.
In addition to the students, Dr. Josh Greer, a respected sports management faculty member at Bethel University, was one of only five professors selected to present their research and compete in the NCSSC Poster Competition, presented by AMA SportSIG.
