Helping Hand Radio Auction Hits $350,000 Mark

Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction hit the $350,000 mark and then some today.

With the $7,064 raised, the year-to-date total now is at $350,883. There are five more days to go in the annual auction.

Items making up 23 slates of donations were donated today by Maplewood Baptist Church, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Peppers Automotive, Grace Episcopal and Henry County Basketball Boosters.

Auctioneer was Jamie Orr, with the Paris Quota Club manning the phones.

Friday, items will be donated by the Springville community, World’s Biggest Fish Fry, AHC Healthcare and Doghouse Rescue. Auctioneer will be Ray Compton.

Saturday will be one of the biggest days, with the Tennessee Valley Community Church donating items.

During the week, auctions begin at 12:30 p.m. and on Saturdays, auctions begin at noon.

Helping Hand runs from January 8 through February 28 and raises thousands of dollars each year for over 90 non-profit and public service organizations. Last year was a banner year, with a record-setting $519,630 raised.
