Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Academy for the Arts invites everyone to the Sammy Goldstein Concert on April 20th 2024 at 7 pm with reception following.
Entertainer Sammy Goldstein of Paris and New York City will be returning to his hometown to perform a fundraising concert at Paris Academy for the Arts.
Known for his vast repertoire of songs and audience interaction, Goldstein has a special evening planned for the cabaret-style performance at the Academy’s Ray Harding Lunchroom. Featuring a variety of music spanning 50 years, the show will include some Broadway tunes, Gershwin and Cole Porter classics–even some 1970’s pop, interlaced with some Goldstein-style comedy of course.
“Among many things,” Goldstein said, “it will be light-hearted and fun. It’s a special place. I love performing at the school and the intimacy of its smaller setting. I feel a closer connection with the audience, and the audience engagement always makes it a truly unique experience.”
Proceeds from the concert will directly benefit the Paris Academy Association with building restoration expenses and the continued development of art classes and related programs. The Academy offers classes in pottery, visual and performing arts, music, dance, quilting, weaving and sewing, among others. Maintenance and restoration projects are never-ending for the historic building.
