Union City, Tenn–Advance tickets to Monday night’s Class 1A Boys’ Sectional between Union City and Booker T. Washington at Marty Sisco Gymnasium are available on the GoFan digital ticket app.
Per the TSSAA, the GoFan forum is used at the sectional level. Tickets sell for $8 each, with an added charge for the service, bringing the total to just over $9 apiece.
UCHS students will be given the opportunity to buy one ticket each for $10 at the high school.
Initial plans are for some tickets to still be sold at the gate before Monday’s game, though Principal Jacob Cross said he’ll reevaluate that decision after a count of the digit tickets sold.
TSSAA and TACA passes will be honored, but no UCHS season passes will be accepted – per TSSAA rules.
The contest will mark the 24th all-time appearance in the sectional/substate round in Golden Tornado program history. Union City is 11-12 all-time in those games – but 8-3 at home.
In four of the Twisters’ five state championship seasons, UC won home sectional/substate games.
Included among that lot was a 66-51 victory over BTW in 1997 when the Purple and Gold won its third Class 2A state title.
The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. for Monday’s contest, with tip-off set for 7 o’clock.
