Rosemary Johnson Perkins

Rosemary Johnson Perkins, 79, of Puryear, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Henry County Medical Center – ER.

Rosemary Perkins was born Saturday, April 8, 1944, in Covington, Tennessee, to the late Ellis C. Johnson and the late Dellie Shelton Johnson.

Ms. Perkins was a longtime and active member of Bethlehem Church of Christ.

She enjoyed sewing, working in her garden and most especially her family.

She married Herman “Keith” Perkins Wednesday, March 12, 1969, and he preceded her in death Saturday, April 7, 2012.

Besides her parents and husband, Rosemary is also preceded in death by sister: Nancy Johnson Able; and by her brothers: Billy, Stanley, and Jerry Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters: Michelle (Lynn) Parker, of the Elkhorn Community, Melissa (Robert) Gallion, of Puryear and Shelby Denise Jacobson, of Savannah, Tennessee; step-daughter: Debra (Steve) Lusk, of Chattanooga; step-son: David (Betsy) Perkins, of Jackson, Tennessee; grandchildren: Reed and Jared Parker, Garret Gallion, Courtney Affarian, Colby, Blaine, and Jordan Benson; step-grandchildren: Brooke Pearson, Jordan, Spencer, and Tanner Perkins, Derek and Corey Lusk, and Lauren Horton; sister: Ann Cox, of Paris; and also survived by brother: Ralph Elam; several great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

In lieu of flowers Rosemary’s family requests that donations be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, P.O. Box 111180, Nashville, Tennessee, 37222.

A private graveside service is planned.
